Pro Bono assistance for SMSF trustees affected by bushfires

Jan 17, 2020, 08:37 AM

SuperConcepts  will provide free assistance to SMSF trustees who have suffered severe loss due to the recent bushfires.

The pro bono service, which includes providing SMSF technical assistance, liaising with the ATO on SMSF compliance and lodgment related matters and, in some circumstances, the recreation of damaged or destroyed fund records,  is available to both SuperConcepts clients and members of the general public who have had a major financial or personal loss from the bushfires.

Affected Australians can call 1300 023 170 to discuss their needs.

SuperConcepts CEO Lara Bourguignon said the initiative is designed to help SMSF trustees on their road to recovery.

"We have experienced technical staff in all states across many of the affected areas who would like to help people get back on their feet," Ms Bourguignon said.

"SuperConcepts is passionate about supporting Australians through tough times and we’ll help those affected by this disaster however we can."

SuperConcepts has also put together a disaster relief package for its clients impacted by the bushfires  which, in addition to the above mentioned services, also involves waiving certain fees for clients directly impacted by bushfires.
