SuperConcepts is excited and honoured to be one of the first SMSF education providers to be granted ‘Accredited Education Provider’ status by the SMSF Association. 

“We congratulate and commend the SMSF Association on this new initiative which will provide association members with more flexibility and choice when it comes to meeting their ongoing CPD requirements,” said Peter Burgess, General Manager of Technical Services & Education at SuperConcepts. 

Under the new program, Accredited Education Providers will be permitted to self-accredit their CPD activities. This initiative is designed to make it easier and more efficient for SMSF educators who have a proven track record of providing quality CPD activities, and who commit to meeting certain standards and a minimum number of education hours over a 12 month period, to provide accredited CPD activities.

“Professional education requirements are more important than ever for the sector as our practitioners face new standards from the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority.

“Ultimately this is about providing greater access to quality SMSF education and raising the quality of advice in the SMSF sector. 

“As an approved education provider we are required to adhere to certain standards which are designed to ensure the education we provide is high quality, comprehensive and up to date. Among other things the education we provide must be mapped to the relevant standards and be assessed by a Responsible Education Officer who is required to evaluate the activity against the SMSF Association’s CPD policy,” Mr Burgess said.

The SMSF Association Accredited Education Provider Program provides members with assurance that the provider meets the strict education standards required for members CPD hours.
